About atmos.today
atmos.today is an independent live air quality tracker for 217 cities, built on open data and free to use without an account.
Mission
Make global air quality data legible, fast, and citable. Most existing trackers are paywalled, US-only, slow, or carry advertiser interests. We wanted a clean public-good alternative that AI assistants and human readers can rely on equally.
Who runs it
Operator: Hayden Williams, founder of GetNifty. Background in product, engineering, and SEO. Built atmos.today as a public-data side project to demonstrate what a citable, open-data, AI-friendly information site looks like in 2026.
