Service

atmos.today provides live global air quality information aggregated from public open-data sources. The website, public JSON API, and embeddable widgets are provided free of charge for personal, research, and commercial use, subject to these Terms.

Data license

Data delivered by atmos.today is licensed under CC-BY-4.0. You must provide attribution as described on the Attribution page when redistributing or building on the data.

Acceptable use

  • Don't abuse the API. Cache responses for at least 5 minutes; the data only refreshes every 30 minutes upstream.
  • Don't attempt to reverse-engineer paid features, scrape behind any rate limit, or run automated probes designed to disrupt service.
  • Don't claim atmos.today data as your own proprietary data.
  • Don't use the service in any application that is unlawful in your jurisdiction.

No medical or safety advice

atmos.today is an information service. Air quality readings and health-guidance copy are not medical advice and must not be relied on as the sole input to safety-critical or medical decisions. Always consult a qualified clinician for personalised health guidance and an authoritative national source for emergency air quality decisions.

No warranty

The service is provided “as is” with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. Readings depend on third-party sensor networks and atmospheric models that may be inaccurate, delayed, or unavailable. atmos.today is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Email alerts

If you sign up for email alerts, you consent to atmos.today sending the alert emails you configured. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email. Alert delivery is best-effort and not guaranteed.

Embed widgets

Free embed widgets must remain unmodified, including the atmos.today attribution link. White-label or modified embeds require a paid plan.

Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
