atmos.today is operated by GetNifty. The site is an independent global air quality tracker. Contact: contact form.
What we collect
- Email address (only if you sign up for email alerts). Used solely to send the alert emails you requested and a one-time confirmation message.
- Approximate location (only if you use the “air quality near me” feature and grant browser geolocation permission). Used in-page only and never stored.
- Aggregate analytics (page views, country, device class) via privacy-respecting analytics. No cookies or cross-site tracking.
- Server logs (IP address, user agent) retained for up to 30 days for security and rate-limiting. Not linked to email subscribers.
What we do not collect
- No cookies for tracking or advertising.
- No third-party advertising trackers.
- No selling or sharing of personal data with marketers.
- No social media pixels.
How long we keep it
- Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe (one-click link in every email).
- Server logs: 30 days.
- Analytics: aggregate counters only; no individual records.
Service providers we use
- Netlify: hosting + edge delivery.
- Supabase: database for email alert subscriptions only.
- Resend: transactional email delivery for alerts.
- Plausible: cookieless aggregate analytics.
Your rights
Under GDPR, UK GDPR, and similar regimes you have the right to access, correct, export, and delete your personal information. Email alerts can be removed instantly via the unsubscribe link in any email. For other requests, use the contact form.
Children
atmos.today is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged on the homepage and the “last updated” date at the top of this page will change.
